with Alan Maass, author of The Case for Socialism and editor of socialistworker.org. Maass will look at the most recent crisis of world capitalism, the misery inflicted upon oppressed peoples and workers around the world, and make the case for a genuine socialist alternative.

  • Sexuality and Socialism: The Fight for LGBT Liberation
    Sherry Wolf, author of Sexuality and Socialism will discuss two key arguments of her book; the genuine Marxist history regarding LGBT oppression and a defense of the historical materialist argument against both identity politics and queer theory. In a departure from her book tour speeches, Wolf will use this opportunity to raise the political bar among leftist activists who want to engage more deeply with the socialist history regarding sexuality and the theoretical debates within the left.
